Hello Reader,
Poetry, painting, and photography all have a connection. In poetry, words evoke vivid pictures, metaphors and similes. In painting and photography, emotions and stories arise without a single word. There is a harmonious connection between them. Words, colours, and images blend and inspire.
When a poet crafts verses, they paint images with words. In these mental landscapes, the readers traverse. And an intricate dance between language and imagination takes place. Words are the pigments, and the poet's mind is the canvas. Much like painters, poets select their palettes with care. In their words lies visual and emotional depth.
Through colours and shapes, painters show their emotions. They use the visual medium to summarise a moment in time. And people can figure out the meaning of the painting. In the same way as they would when reading poetry.
Photographers depict moments with their cameras, which don't last long. It could be a tree in autumn garments or a tree dressed in emerald tones. For the visual narrative, lighting and composition play a vital role. The outcome is a silent poem which speaks volumes.
I combine the visual with the narrative. And I am now revising the texts for improved clarity and coherence. All lines need refinement. It is slow progress and takes a lot of time. I improved about fifteen texts out of seventy in one month.
How my interest in poetry started, you can read on my website.
Stay creative,
